Animals and Plants

Many of the animals and plants found in this watershed can be found in many other watersheds as well. However, this is the only place on earth where others are found. Common animals and plants are those that can be found throughout the watershed. Threatened or protected animals and plants are rare or are only found in a small area, making them more vulnerable to disturbance. A third category of animals and plants is non-native invasive species. These species have been brought into the area either accidentally or on purpose and now are crowding out native species.
