Working with Watersheds: An Educational Resource Binder for the Environmentally Aware Educator
Working with Watersheds: Poster (Powerpoint slide - formatted for 24x36 inches)
The purpose of our project is two-fold: 1) to add a K-12 educational/outreach component to the Upper Altamaha Initiative and 2) to address the lack of local watershed education in middle school curriculum. The overreaching goals of our project are to ensure future sustainability of the Clean Water Act and the Oconee and Ocmulgee Rivers by promoting watershed literacy, awareness, enthusiasm, and stewardship through better-educated citizens. In order to achieve these goals, our group has compiled a curriculum that meets the new Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) for 7 th Grade Life Sciences.
