riverkeepers americorps proposal

Jeremy Arey

The seven Georgia Riverkeepers have expressed a need for volunteers to assist with each organization's restoration projects, water monitoring activities, fundraising events, office work, and various other tasks involving water quality management that the Riverkeepers undertake. This project involves coordinating, writing, and submitting a proposal to Americorps on the Riverkeepers' behalf. The ultimate goal of the project is to secure approximately 7-10 individuals to volunteer full time with the Riverkeeper organizations in Georgia. The project is intended to benefit the ongoing work of the Riverkeepers in assessing, maintaining, and preserving river quality by providing the support required to effectively carry out current and future endeavors.
