A key component to understanding what goes on in a watershed is understanding the properties of water. Water is a bipolar molecule, which gives it special properties such as cohesion and adhesion. These properties influence how water moves through and around the watershed. Water is continually cycling through various states of matter (e.g., liquid, solid, and gas). These activities will illustrate the properties of water, the water cycle, and how water moves through a watershed.
