Blue Water for a Green Future
River Basin Center Auditorium
Tuesday, April 28, 2009
7 - 9 pm
Abundant clean water is essential to our community's health - and our economy. The water forum is open to all interested citizens but organizers think it will be especially useful to homeowners, government officials, the business community and organizations concerned with water usage, such as members of the green industry. Speakers include: Ben Emanuel, Editor of Flagpole Magazine, Jenny Hoffner, Director of water efficiency for American Rivers, Heather Koepnick, Thyme after Thyme Garden Center, and Marilyn Hall, ACC Water Conservation Coordinator. Dick Field, ACC Environmental Coordinator will moderate the session.
Sponsored by the Athens Environmental Summit, a consortium of 18 local environmental organizations. This event is part of GreenFest, the community-wide celebration of our environment, and the Georgia Water Resources Conference.
