etowah regional greenspace plan

The Institute of Ecology received a grant from the Georgia Forestry Commission to complete an eight-county upper Etowah Regional Greenspace Plan. The results from this project may also be used as part of the Etowah Aquatic Species Habitat Conservation Plan, Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Implementation Plan, and an Alternative Watershed Build-Out Analysis for the Upper Etowah Watershed.

Two teams of graduate students from the Institute of Ecology, School of Environmental Design, and School of Law worked on the Greenspace Plan as part of the Etowah Practicum. They presented their work to planners and elected officials from the Etowah counties, and incorporated their feedback and suggestions into the Plan.
